At its June 23 meeting the Pocahontas County Board of Supervisors approved two formal measures affecting intergovernmental cooperation and transparency.
The board approved a 28E law enforcement agreement with the City of Fonda under Resolution 202606-#30. Supervisor Peter Seehusen moved the measure, Supervisor Kyle Smith seconded, and the board approved the resolution by roll-call: Seehusen, Siepker, Stauter, Smith and Aden voted yes; no nays were recorded. The meeting minutes state the full resolution is available from the auditor's office.
The board also approved a county resolution to adopt provisions of HF 2490 concerning open records and open meetings (Resolution 2026-06-#31). Supervisor Brent Aden moved and Supervisor Peter Seehusen seconded the measure; a roll-call similarly recorded five ayes and no nays. The minutes note the full text of the resolution can be requested from the auditor.
Separately, the board approved a Linking Families Employer of Record agreement and authorized the chairman to sign. That motion passed by unanimous voice vote with supervisors present.
