Emergency procurement for Well 3: Public works reported that Well 3’s variable frequency drive (VFD) had failed and Peerless Midwest had a compatible VFD available for immediate installation. Commissioners discussed budget availability and the operational risk of delaying replacement; the commission voted to award a purchase order/contract to Peerless Midwest so the part can be installed promptly.
Planning director hire: After interviews staff recommended and the commission consented to hire Zachary (last name transcribed in packet) for the planning director role with a start date set for March 30, 2026. The commission carried the motion to consent to the hire on a roll call.
