Police Chief Don Polick briefed council on four department items and asked that each be placed on a future council agenda for formal action.
Polick said the department needs a new station computer server to replace aging equipment. He also requested holster sensors to integrate with the city’s new body-camera system. "Next is our holster sensors for our new body cam system," Polick said; Council President Boldt agreed to add the items to the agenda.
Polick also requested renewal of the School Resource Officer memorandum of understanding for the high school and authority to conduct internet auctions to dispose of surplus items; Boldt and council members indicated support to include those items at the next meeting.
No formal procurement decisions or vote tallies were recorded during the work session; councilors signaled support to add each item to the regular meeting agenda for consideration.
