Cindy Dehner moved to present the budget packet discussed at a prior meeting to the Town; Heather Allen seconded. Dave Lee expressed a desire for additional clarity earlier in the discussion, but the motion passed and the board confirmed required public-notice steps: a notice will be sent to the Turnpike Buyer May 7 for publication May 12, and the Town vote will be held May 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Brooklyn Middle School. The board scheduled a brief meeting after the town vote to set the mill rate if the budget is approved.
During the public-comment portion of the meeting, Shelley Cates reminded attendees that the Water Pollution Control Authority (WPCA) will hold a town hearing on its budget May 27, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Green building.
