Committee members reported the prior drone show ran about 12–13 minutes in cold-weather conditions and used approximately 100 drones; they said more drones (150–200) would allow a more elaborate program but require additional sponsorship. Several members suggested prioritizing fresh imagery and not necessarily expanding duration if sponsors are not available.
The motion passed by voice vote. Staff said they would place a deposit to hold the date and continue to pursue sponsorship and final contract terms before the next budget cycle.
