Fraser Board authorizes $390,289 technology purchases; approves $12.49 million in bills and supports MISD budget

On a motion by Abigail Wasil, supported by Daniel Stawinski, the board approved purchasing a new telephone system from Moss Telecommunications for $306,691.65 and Promethean panel OPS updates from Konica Minolta for $83,598.00, for a combined total of $390,289.65. The motion passed with "Ayes: All; Nays: None." The purchases were recorded as coming from the district’s 2023 bond funds.
Separately, on a motion by Todd Koch, supported by Robyn Norbeck, the board adopted a resolution supporting the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) General Operating Budget for 2024–2025. That motion also passed unanimously.
The board then authorized the treasurer to draw funds for routine expenditures on a motion by Todd Koch, supported by Rebecca Jensen. The approved fund draws listed in the minutes were: General Fund $3,910,869.15; Food Service Fund $267,818.63; Debt Retirement Funds $8,276,159.13; Capital Projects Fund $35,368.25; total $12,490,215.16. The minutes contained a typographical error in the Food Service Fund line ('267,818,63'); the corrected amount, consistent with the total, is $267,818.63.
All votes for the above items were recorded "Ayes: All; Nays: None." The purchases and bill approvals were carried without recorded dissent.
