The Fruitport Community Schools Business and Finance Committee reviewed a proposal to complete a wetlands delineation at the planned Edgewood Elementary School site.
According to meeting materials, Peterson & VandenBerg Environmental, LLC was the lowest qualified bidder; the delineation cost is $2,500, with an additional $300 proposed to complete GPS location work for the wetlands area. Tower Pinkster solicited two bids for the work. The committee discussed bidder qualification and cost and agreed to forward the recommendation to the full Board for consideration at the March Board meeting.
The delineation is a standard pre-construction environmental step required to document wetland boundaries before site development decisions. The committee did not take a final vote during the meeting; the Board will consider approval at its next regular meeting.
