Brooks adopts Fayette County 2025 fire-services impact-fee report for local planning

The Brooks Town Council voted unanimously April 20 to adopt Resolution 2026-03, which incorporates the Fayette County 2025 Annual Report on Fire Services Impact Fees and the county-prepared Comprehensive Plan amendments updating the Capital Improvements Element (CIE) and Short-Term Work Program (STWP) for fiscal years 2026–2030 as they apply to Brooks.
Town Clerk/Finance Officer L. Spohr reviewed the report and explained that Fayette County prepared the document in collaboration with Brooks and other towns to comply with Georgia planning standards. The resolution adopts the county report and the specified Comprehensive Plan amendments for the Brooks subsection.
Mayor Pro Tem Scott Israel moved to adopt Resolution 2026-03 and Council Member Bishop Watts seconded the motion. The council voted unanimously to approve the adoption.
