Officials reported that Lake Wylie is nearing completion on exterior cladding, athletic fields and interior finishes. Liberty Hill is further along but faces a potential short delay for its certificate of occupancy into early June; staff said furniture delivery and move logistics are being scheduled.
Bryce detailed the Clover High School chiller replacement procurement: the district received a final project manual April 16 and set procurement milestones with a pre‑bid meeting on May 6, questions due May 8, and bids due May 18 at 11:00. He told trustees the replacement will likely take about a year once a contractor is selected and said the project is being sequenced to limit classroom disruption.
The board's approvals allocate previously authorized bond or contingency funds to meet outstanding contractor change orders; staff said these are fulfillment of earlier commitments rather than new budget appropriations.
