Morrow council approves fireworks and production contracts for Freedom Fest

The City of Morrow council unanimously approved two vendor agreements on June 23 to support the city's Freedom Fest celebration scheduled for June 27, 2026.
Councilwoman Lana J. Labay moved and Mayor Pro Tem Khoa Vuong seconded approval of a professional services agreement with Freedom Fireworks, LLC for a fireworks display at a total contract amount of $30,000, including an initial deposit of $6,000. The motion carried with all council members voting aye.
The council also approved an agreement with The Show Business, Special Event Services, Inc. for stage, audio, lighting and production services for Freedom Fest in an amount not to exceed $14,200. That motion, also moved by Labay and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Vuong, passed unanimously.
Both contracts were approved during the council's regular meeting; the agreements were recorded in the meeting minutes as unanimous votes of the council.
