The Morrow City Council on June 9 approved the city’s employee benefits renewal for the plan year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027.
City Manager Landry Merkison and insurance broker Missy Moore presented the renewal package prepared by SandStone Insurance Partners. The package was sent to the marketplace for competitive comparison and reviewed by global brokerage firm Arthur J. Gallagher, which concluded the proposed rates were consistent with current market conditions.
Councilwoman Lana J. Labay moved to approve the renewal; Councilwoman Hue Nguyen seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously, with all council members voting aye.
The council did not record dollar amounts or plan-level changes in the public minutes; the renewal takes effect July 1, 2026, for the new plan year.
