The Mandeville Zoning Commission denied a variance request from William and Caroline Alquist for a property on West Beach Parkway at its March 24 meeting. The petition sought relief from CLURO Section 5.2.3.2 (Drainage Overlay District and Fill Sub-Area A), Section 9.2.5.2 (Vegetation Protection Zones) and Section 8.1.5 (Supplemental Regulation of Accessory Buildings and Structures). Chairman Brian Rhinehart also announced that written notice of the commission's decision will be filed in the commission office the following day, at which time the applicable appeal period will begin to run.
