Hinsdale Select Board nominates Collins as chair, appoints new DPW crew member

At its May 27 meeting the Select Board nominated Bart Collins as chair, approved May 13 minutes and the release of the executive session minutes, and unanimously appointed Alex Puntin as a DPW crew member.
Margaret Gregory, Select Board member, opened the Hinsdale Select Board meeting at 6:30 p.m. on May 27, 2026, and nominated Bart Collins to serve as Select Board chair. Ray Huntoon seconded the nomination and the board voted unanimously in favor.
The board then approved the Select Board meeting minutes and the Executive Session minutes from May 13, 2026, and voted to release the executive session minutes. The motions passed on unanimous voice votes recorded as "All said, Aye."
Alex Puntin introduced himself to the board and described prior work in construction, experience operating equipment and some plowing, and willingness to obtain required licenses for the position. Margaret Gregory moved to appoint Puntin as a DPW crew member; Ray Huntoon seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
An appointment of Margaret Gregory as a Berkshire Regional Planning Commission alternate was tabled until the next meeting. No members of the public spoke during the public comment period.
The meeting adjourned at 7:24 p.m. after a motion by Margaret Gregory and a second from Ray Huntoon; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
