City administrator previews comprehensive-plan review, highlights community events

City Administrator Dr. Crawford told the City of York council on March 5 that the council should prepare for a fuller discussion of the comprehensive plan at its third-week March meeting. He said the planning commission meets in the second week of the month and that a print copy of the draft comprehensive plan is available for council members to review.
"...we will be going over the comp plan approving hopefully you know discussing and approving the comp plan," Dr. Crawford said, urging members to review the document and noting a print copy is available for those who prefer a physical review.
Dr. Crawford also highlighted community programming: an "adult prom" event co-hosted with the Creative District planned for Saturday and a recent performance at Blicks Theater, which he said drew a strong crowd. He thanked council member Jennifer Shepard and others who helped organize local cultural events.
No formal council direction or vote on the comprehensive plan was taken at the March 5 meeting; the item is slated for the council’s upcoming meeting cycle.
