The Green Bay Improvement and Services Committee on July 1 approved several Department of Public Works requests and forwarded them to the common council as recommendations.
Pattywood Lane transportation project plat: The committee approved a resolution to authorize acquisition of right-of-way to build a new roadway off Erie Road to provide access to Grand View Industrial Park. Staff said the project will secure necessary right-of-way for future development access; the development agreement for the industrial park may not be finalized yet.
Contract award authority for Oxford Avenue and Reed Street construction: Because bids for the pavement and street construction project were scheduled to open July 7, DPW asked the committee to authorize staff to award the contract at the staff level to avoid schedule delays. The committee approved that approach and requested staff report bid results at the next meeting.
Licenses for Sidewalk Builder New Home Services LLC and Ziz Construction: The committee approved licenses for the two firms as requested by DPW.
All three items passed on voice votes. Committee members noted that the committee approval is a recommendation and that final actions will be taken by the common council at its next meeting.
