The Mayor and Council of the City of Zachary convened at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17, 2024, at the Council Chambers, 4700 Main Street, but the meeting was adjourned one minute later after no council members were present, according to minutes submitted by City Attorney John C. Hopewell, III.
The session was recorded as the regular (second Tuesday) meeting rescheduled from Dec. 24, 2024. The minutes state that the Call to Order was made at 6:30 p.m., and that the prayer and the pledge of allegiance were waived for the session.
"Recognizing that there was no quorum and no business to be conducted, the meeting was accordingly adjourned at 6:31 P.M.," John C. Hopewell, III, City Attorney, wrote in the minutes. No agenda items, motions or votes were recorded.
The minutes were signed "Respectfully submitted, John C. Hopewell, III, City Attorney, City of Zachary, Parish of East Baton Rouge, State of Louisiana."
