During the public‑comment period, Mr. Lester Pastor told the Council he had met with City Attorney Brandon Creekbaum and Bishop Clifford Thomas and raised concerns about the handling of an appeal. Pastor said Creekbaum had called former City Attorney Nancy Summergill about "the dismissal of the Court of Appeal" and that Summergill "admitted to dismissing the Court of Order of Appeal," as Pastor described it.
Pastor urged the Mayor and Council to "demand that the City Attorney obey and respect the rule of law or replace him." The minutes record no response from the City Attorney or additional Council action on the point during the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
