Village Administrator Richter reported to the Village of New Bremen council on May 12 that the community swimming pool painting is complete and staff will begin filling the pool on May 16 after the paint cures.
Richter also said the village will hold a ribbon-cutting for newly installed electric vehicle chargers behind the library on May 27 at 5:45 p.m. The chargers were not otherwise described in the minutes (for example, manufacturer or funding source was not specified).
Richter added that the wood cardinal carving at the Jefferson Street walkway bridge has been refinished; staff plan to pour a concrete pedestal for the carving because the original stump is rotten.
Council members also noted the council’s next meeting will be Tuesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m., moved because of Memorial Day. No formal votes on any of these announcements were recorded at the May 12 meeting.
