New Bremen approves F-550 dump truck purchase and shifts funds to higher-yield account

During the consent-agenda discussion, Councilman Condon reported August expenditures of $1,359,925.15 and total receipts for July of $1,415,941.72, and said the finance committee reviewed July bank reconciliations. Condon noted the village holds money in Star Ohio earning 4.46% and in GIDP earning 3.02%, and said the rate gap was widening; the minutes record a plan to move funds from GIDP to Star Ohio to secure the higher rate.
The minutes state the replacement of two dump beds was budgeted for 2025, one of which was replaced in April; the remaining purchase reflects continuing fleet maintenance. The minutes record that trucks are used daily by village departments and that current lead time for replacement is six months.
