Plainfield honors 20 years of service, names two Master Firefighters and swears in lateral hires

The Plainfield Fire Territory recognized long service and new arrivals at its April 7 meeting. Chief Anderson presented a 20-year service pin to Firefighter Aaron Armstrong and announced two firefighters earned Master Firefighter designation this year: Garrett Clark and Tyler Peterson.
"The distinguished Master Firefighter designation represents the highest of versatility and exemplary service within the Plainfield Fire Territory," Chief Anderson said, describing the credential as proof an individual can "fill every seat on our fire department, drive all our apparatus, and really just [be] an all-around valuable asset to the team." Chief Anderson noted Garrett Clark had left on a call and Tyler Peterson was present for the recognition.
The chief also administered the oath to two lateral hires, Trevor Bolton and Jordan Carpenter, who were sworn in and photographed with commission members. Applause followed the swearing-in and pinning ceremonies.
There was no debate on these recognitions; they followed the consent agenda and preceded adjournment.
