Plainfield police announce fundraiser and senior safety triad meetings

"If you're in the area and have the availability, stop by, donate a couple of bucks, get a free cup of coffee or a free donut, and it all goes to a good cause," he said.
He also described a triad group the department has formed to benefit senior citizens that will meet at the Guilford Township Community Center on May 13 at 10 a.m. to discuss personal safety and on May 27 to address frauds and scams and preventative measures. Mr. Prewitt said the program will initially meet twice a month and may reduce frequency as momentum builds; while primarily targeted at residents 55 and older, he said anyone may attend.
The announcements were delivered as part of the Chief's Report; no formal board action or funding decisions for these events were recorded at the meeting.
