New Bremen awards Herman and Pearl Street paving contract to Buehler Asphalt

Council noted the project will be supported by an Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) grant of $282,000, leaving a local share of $120,565.
Council suspended the rules and passed Emergency Ordinance 2025-06-12 to accept the low bid and award the contract to Buehler Asphalt. The motion passed with six ayes.
The village will proceed with contract execution and construction oversight per the engineer’s recommendations; council did not record a member-level roll-call vote in the minutes, only the six-aye tally.
