During the Jan. 15 meeting, the Village Board discussed ongoing enforcement at a property on North Pioneer Road after complaints about outside storage and possible nonpermitted automobile repair.
Steve Sorenson, speaking on behalf of property owner Dan Binner, said automobile repair should not be allowed because the zoning permits storage only and urged the village to issue citations. Administrator Nick Leonard said the village has been following up every two weeks, that some progress has been made, and that a recent assessment was issued for inspection charges. Trustee Ann Price asked for an update on the item at the next board meeting.
No formal motion or enforcement action was recorded in the minutes; the entry in the administrative portion of the agenda documents the village's intent to continue two-week follow-ups until the property is in compliance.
