North Fond du Lac board approves concept for Village Park Master Plan

Director of Public Works Mitch Vis presented the Village’s final Park Master Plan at the June 3 meeting of the Board of Trustees, and the board voted to approve the plan conceptually.
Vis described the plan and said cost estimates for various projects are still being worked on. He told trustees that while outside organizations might sponsor some projects, the Village would remain involved with approvals and provide engineering and inspection support as time permits.
Trustee John Duffy moved to approve the plan as presented; Trustee Chuck Hornung seconded. The motion carried with three ayes. The approval was for the concept of the plan only; individual projects and any associated expenses will return to the board for later approval.
Next steps recorded in the minutes indicate staff will continue work on cost estimates and bring specific project proposals back to the Board for authorization.
