James Hoffpauir of Hoffpauir Project Management Team briefed the Cameron Parish School Board on construction and repair activity across the district.
Hoffpauir reported pending insurance and FEMA reviews for several projects. Soil testing has been performed at the Johnson Bayou High School track; South Cameron High School has miscellaneous athletic-field repairs and restroom/concession repairs currently in FEMA review for cost updates. Hoffpauir noted the South Cameron High School new gym complex was obligated by FEMA on Dec. 21, 2023, for $12,825,812.80, described in the minutes as 90% of the eligible obligated amount after insurance reduction; the project is proceeding.
No new bids or bid awards were presented at this meeting; staff noted continuing coordination with FEMA, CDBG and general fund sources on repairs and temporary site work.
