The Claiborne Parish School Board Executive Committee met Oct. 21, 2024, at the Homer High Cottage in Homer, Louisiana, and received its annual training from board attorney Jon Guice.
Guice reviewed La.R.S. 17:81, which sets out school board duties, responsibilities and authority, and discussed the board’s relationships with the public, employees, parents, students, fellow board members and other agencies. He also reviewed Acts of the 2024 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature that affect public education.
