The Cameron Parish School Board approved updates to the district salary schedule for substitute pay, education diagnostician, and social worker/mental health professional positions during its Aug. 11 meeting.
The board received proposed revisions to multiple policies to align with the 2025 Louisiana Regular Legislative Session, including instructional materials, technology and internet acceptable use, student absences, bullying and hazing, expulsion, child abuse, and behavioral health support policies. These proposals were presented for review and input to local stakeholder committees.
On a motion by Christi Labove, seconded by Marsha Trahan, the board approved moving forward on the sale of 510 Marshall St., Cameron; the motion was recorded as presented by the Superintendent. The minutes do not include sale terms or an asking price; staff were directed to proceed with the next administrative steps.
