The Cameron Parish School Board on Aug. 11 approved the school allocations for the 2025–2026 school year, accepted the monthly financial statement and current investments report, and approved the Louisiana Compliance Questionnaire, all as presented by Mrs. Hayes.
The board also received a monthly property income report from Mr. Michael Cassidy of the Cameron Parish District Attorney's Office. On Mr. Cassidy's presentation, the board approved release of a bond related to Johnson Bayou Field and authorized going out for bid on T13S‑R12W Sabine Refuge.
Several routine governance items were approved by motion, including minutes from the July 14 meeting, payment of the bills, and a Jones & Walker waiver. The board recorded motions to accept a Cheniere LNG PILOT proposal pending completion of required steps, with staff to continue procedural follow-up.
