The board's approval of the low bidder was made on a motion by Marsha Trahan and seconded by R. Mitchell Kelley.
Hoffpauir Architects also briefed the board on ongoing FEMA, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and general fund construction work and repairs related to permanent and temporary sites. The presentation noted some project steps remain contingent on insurance and FEMA reviews, which could affect final award timing and scope.
The board did not set a construction start date at the meeting; architects and project managers will provide follow-up on funding confirmations and contract execution.
