Beaufort County's Zoning Board of Appeals approved a special-use permit for a 10-room inn at Jesse Creek following a presentation by the applicant's land planner and a staff recommendation for approval.
Dan Kiefer of Whitmer Jones Kiefer presented the proposal for Bill Kennedy, describing a three-acre Lot 1 with three buildings configured as a main cottage and two guest cottages that would provide a total of 10 rentable rooms. Kiefer said existing sewer, water and stormwater infrastructure are in place and that the project "meets the Beaufort County ordinances" for setbacks and parking.
County staff recommended approval. A board member moved to grant the special use for a 10-room inn; another member seconded the motion and the board voted in favor. The chair told the applicant to take the approval to county staff to complete required post-approval steps.
The board had no further old or new business and adjourned.
