The Abbot Public Library Board of Trustees met by Zoom on Nov. 6 and approved the minutes from the Oct. 24 meeting. The roll call recorded five Yes votes and one abstention: Gary Amberik, John Williams, David Ross, Jen Jewell and Kathy Barker voted Yes; Deb Payson abstained. The motion was seconded and approved.
Trustees then reviewed two policies. They voted unanimously to adopt the Computer/Internet Use Policy as amended and the Meeting Room Policy. All six trustees on the roll call — Gary Amberik, John Williams, Jen Jewell, Kathy Barker, David Ross and Deb Payson — voted Yes.
During discussion of the Meeting Room Policy, trustees noted a fee item referencing a $175 Chamber of Commerce nonprofit organization membership and agreed to determine the specific benefits of Chamber membership before making a final decision on joining. Director Kimberly Grad presented the policies for review and implementation details.
The board set its next meeting for Dec. 9 and adjourned at 7:06 p.m.
