Campbell County board approves budget amendments, monthly financials and facility namings

The Campbell County Board of Education voted to approve the August 31, 2025 monthly financial reports and adopted several budget amendment resolutions in the Nov. 18 packet to realign state and federal grant codes, add TISA on-behalf payments, revise grant appropriations and reconcile IDEA Part B allocations.
Finance Director Eric Pearson and staff presented balance sheets showing the General Purpose School Fund cash position and year-to-date revenues and expenditures. The board approved the financial reports by roll call.
The board approved Resolution 11-1 to realign revenue codes and budget TISA on-behalf payments, Resolution 11-2 to adjust Special Education Preschool funding, Resolution 11-3 to appropriate a small revision to the Innovative School Models grant, and Resolution 11-4 to reconcile IDEA Part B allocations with E-Plan. The packet exhibits list specific line-item adjustments and dollar figures for each amendment.
The board also awarded the single bid for one additional row of bleachers at Jacksboro Middle School to Toadvine in the amount recorded in the packet and approved multiple routine school trip requests and extracurricular travel listed on the consent agenda.
Under Items for Action the board approved a revised employment contract for the Director of Schools, considered (and failed) a motion to rescind prior differentiated pay plan action earlier in the year, and approved renaming and dedication requests for campus facilities (examples in the packet include naming the Jacksboro Middle School football stadium Johnny "Coach" Bruce Stadium and renaming Jellico High School Gymnasium to Lindsay-Oakes Gymnasium). The board also moved the November regular meeting date as noted in the agenda.
