Senior Planner Robert Varnell said the property will initially take the city’s RA zoning upon annexation and later could be absorbed into an existing PUD. Varnell noted that the plan of service includes projections tied to a planned fire station on Stuart Road and that City Council approval of the plan of service would start an eight-year clock for the city to build the station, an item he characterized as a $7.2 million expense.
Commissioner Blake Allison moved to approve the plan of service; the motion passed 9-0. The annexation resolution was then approved by a separate motion, also 9-0.
