The Cleveland Municipal Planning Commission voted Jan. 20 to recommend that the city abandon an unopened alley between Parker Street and Trunk Street, a move staff said would divide the alleybed equally among adjacent property owners.
Senior Planner Robert Varnell told the commission the alley is unopened and obstructed and that staff saw "no issues" with the abandonment, noting the city has no plans to reopen or utilize the alley. Varnell said the abandonment would still require City Council approval before final conveyance.
Bill Estes moved approval; the motion passed 9-0.
