City manager: two properties resolve, hearing set in January for remaining code case

City Manager Kevin Breeding told the Board of Mayor and Commissioners on Dec. 1 that of three properties under active codes enforcement two have ‘‘somewhat resolved themselves’’ and the remaining property will receive a certified letter and a hearing next month.
Breeding also said a tree fell on a house earlier in the month; the property owner has cleaned up the damage and placed the house for sale. Separately, a property complaint received by email the day of the meeting was handled and Breeding said he expected the issue to be resolved between the involved homeowners by year-end.
Breeding’s report described administrative steps for the remaining code case but did not include specific property addresses or the ordinance violations at issue. The commission did not take formal enforcement action at the Dec. 1 meeting beyond directing staff to send the certified letter and set a hearing.
