Board conditionally approves Reese sewage plan, appoints new EAC leadership; planning commission advances data‑center draft

At the June 3 meeting, Dickinson Township supervisors approved a conditional revision to a sewage facilities planning module for property at 507 Pine Road and made appointments to the Environmental Advisory Council.
Zoning/Codes Officer Ryan Hoover explained that the Reeses reapplied for a sewage planning module limited to residential/personal use while they work on a land development plan for business activity. The board approved Resolution 2026-16 on that condition; Vice Chair Jennifer DeGaetano moved the resolution, Supervisor Robert Line seconded and the vote was unanimous.
Vice Chair DeGaetano and Supervisor Line also reported Planning Commission activity: the commission is finalizing a consolidated draft data‑center ordinance and expects to provide a clean draft for review at its next meeting; the ordinance will require Cumberland County review and Municipal Authority input on infrastructure impacts.
Manager Jill Lovett told the board the township submitted grant applications to the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR) for Stuart Park improvements and to Cumberland County for Dirt, Gravel & Low Volume Roads funding for W. Yellow Breeches Road reconstruction. Lovett said she will consult with the township engineer regarding possible stabilization work at Barnitz Mill that might be eligible for state funds.
The board approved Resolution 2026-17 appointing Jared Abell as EAC chair and adding Mark Hockley to the council. No formal votes were held on zoning amendments at the meeting; the Planning Commission will continue drafting the data‑center ordinance for subsequent board consideration.
