The Hallock City Council approved a temporary on-sale wine and strong-beer license, an on-sale 3.2 beer license and a Sunday license for Craft Brewhaus on Oct. 21, allowing the business to operate from Nov. 3 through Dec. 31, 2024, subject to renewal.
Britt Slusar told the council that Craft Brewhaus is preparing to open in the space left by the closure of Revelation Ale Works and does not want to close for an extended period, saying the short-term license would help avoid losing employees and customers. Councilor Mike Totleben moved to approve the licenses; Councilor Jen Peterson seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The license granted by the council is explicitly limited to Nov. 3–Dec. 31, 2024, and must be renewed thereafter if the business seeks to continue the same privileges. The council approved a prorated fee of $88 to cover the two-month period. The action was recorded as a motion by Councilor Totleben, seconded by Councilor Peterson, and carried unanimously by the members present.
No other conditions or departmental approvals were recorded in the minutes. The council moved on to the next agenda item after the vote.
