Board issues resolution of sympathy for former employee, honors students and teachers of the year
Summary
The board read a resolution of sympathy for former maintenance employee Ronald Parquet, and staff announced Students of the Year and Teachers of the Year across district campuses during the Dec. 7 meeting.
President Shawn Wallace read a resolution of sympathy into the record recognizing Ronald Parquet’s 15 years of service to the district’s maintenance department and directing that the resolution be placed in the minutes and archives.
The board and staff also recognized students and teachers of the year across multiple campuses; Mrs. Rosalind Davis presented the lists of honorees and the district presented banners to Lake Pontchartrain Elementary and West St. John Elementary as Top Gains honorees.
The board entered the resolution and the recognitions into the official record; no formal vote beyond the motion to approve minutes was required for the recognitions portion of the agenda.
