Committee approves 2026 Clerk of Court and District Attorney budgets and forwards both to Executive and Finance

Clerk of Court Shari Rudolph presented the proposed 2026 Clerk of Court budget to the Public Safety Committee on Aug. 5. The committee voted to approve the Clerk of Court’s budget and to forward it to the Executive and Finance Committee; the motion was moved by Gary Sorensen and seconded by Chuck Bornhoeft and the motion carried.
Administrator Ron Barger presented the proposed 2026 District Attorney budget on behalf of District Attorney Cliff Burdon, who was out of the office. The committee approved and forwarded the DA budget to the Executive and Finance Committee on a motion by Lance Achterberg, seconded by Chuck Bornhoeft. The committee recorded approval of both budgets and took no further action at the Aug. 5 meeting.
