Council hears department reports; discusses street-coating estimate and local repairs

Streets: council members discussed street work after Mayor Dave Mull relayed a conversation with contractor Denco about fully coating all the streets. According to the minutes, the coating was described as lasting seven to 10 years and a preliminary estimate was cited at $60,000–$70,000 per street; council asked for a written quote to be provided to the mayor. Separately, the council said several street locations have failing bases that will require concrete repairs and that the city will obtain estimates for those targeted repairs.
