Joe Braden, director of regional liaisons for Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber, described the award’s eligibility criteria — timely filing of financial reports, no findings for recovery, no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies, and other requirements — and said fewer than 4% of audited entities receive the distinction. Braden asked Treasurer Adam Zink to join him and publicly recognized the district’s finance team.
Treasurer Adam Zink thanked his staff and invited key finance employees to come forward for a group photo; the meeting record lists Darren Oxley (assistant treasurer), Jenny Shepherd (fiscal office specialist, accounts payable), Brian Miller (fiscal specialist, payroll), Beth Mashhad (fiscal office specialist, accounts receivable), Lisa (payroll director), Hannah Davis (finance director) and Jen David (benefits fiscal specialist).
Board members congratulated Zink and the finance staff and noted the award reflects a district-wide effort to maintain transparent and accurate financial reporting.
