Friends president outlines May 'Cheers for Books' plans; caucus nominates two trustee candidates

She reported that the Friends’ annual appeal is going well and credited the Friends board’s diversity for broadening appeal across different donor groups. The Friends and trustees plan to collaborate with the Library Director in fall 2026 to establish a 'Library of the Future' task force.
In trustee business, L. Migausky reported on caucus activity: Kate Cook and Kate Wilcox were nominated for two open Library Trustee positions. The board also recorded a planned recognition: L. Migausky will prepare and hand-deliver a letter and bouquet to Alfreda Marcinowski as the Boston Cane recipient.
