Dover Recycling Committee approves March minutes, schedules glass-vendor tour and updates Swap Shop rules

The Dover Recycling Committee met April 8, 2026. The committee approved the minutes from its March 11 meeting by a 4-0 vote and opened the meeting at 7:09 p.m. Committee members listed as present were Jenn Luethy, Wendy Muellers, Leesa Mullin and Catherine Piemonte; staff Kevin McCabe and Bob Tossi were also listed.
Committee member Wendy Muellers said she will set up a tour of DTS with a potential new glass recycling vendor so the committee can evaluate service options. The committee also reported that a new “Rules” sign has been posted at the Swap Shop and that the Swap Shop’s new hours will take effect May 1, 2026.
Staff or committee members noted that Hazardous Waste Consortium dates have been posted at the Swap Shop and online to inform residents of disposal opportunities. The committee announced the next Repair Café is scheduled to take place in Medfield in May 2026.
The committee reported 134 pairs of eyeglasses were delivered to the Lyons Club in the first quarter of 2026. Members also said April street-cleaning sign-ups are slow; a person identified as Kate was assigned to create flyers with details and a sign-up QR code to post around town to boost participation.
A motion to adjourn was moved and seconded at 8:19 p.m. and approved 4-0. The committee set its next meeting for Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.
