Charlemont Agricultural Commission selects two-sided survey, plans barn-permit fee schedule

The Charlemont Agricultural Commission met Feb. 17 at Charlemont Town Hall and agreed to print a town survey double-sided and add a barn-permit fee schedule to the commission's webpage. Chair Randy Prostak called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. and noted that members Randy Prostak, Victoria Valenti and Clare Pearson were present.
The commission decided on a survey with a thin border and to print it double-sided to save paper. Clare Pearson, a commission member, was assigned to fold the printed surveys after they are produced and return them to Town Hall for Lynn Hathaway so they can be included with the next tax mailing.
Members also agreed that the next annual letter from the commission will include a disclaimer reminding recipients that all town bylaws must be followed. The minutes for December and January will be held for approval at the next meeting because the commission did not have a quorum at those earlier meetings to sign and approve them.
The record notes there was no additional update on the property at 176 Main Street. The meeting concluded on a motion to adjourn by Clare Pearson, seconded by Chair Randy Prostak; the meeting was adjourned at 7:31 p.m. The commission scheduled its next meeting for March 24, 2025, at 7 p.m.
