Tega Cay’s council unanimously approved the second reading of an ordinance amending the fiscal year 25–26 budget as it relates to household solid waste fees.
The motion to approve consideration and second reading was made and seconded during the council’s special budget workshop; the mayor put the question and members voted in favor. No member opposed the measure.
Council proceeded immediately to the scheduled budget workshop items, which included presentations on the golf course, beach and swim center, TCUD utility fees, stormwater, events and a discussion of a new compensation study. Staff said the ordinance vote will be reflected in the budget documents and that related fee changes and notices will follow the city’s usual administrative steps.
The meeting then continued with departmental presentations and council questions on other budget items. The council adjourned at the end of the workshop following further deliberations and scheduling of follow-up items.
