At the start of the April 8 meeting, Rich Freccero moved to elect Jim Broderick as Chair of the Financial Oversight Committee; Kathy Hill seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous in favor. Town Council President Connor O'Shea introduced the committee members after the vote.
The Committee set follow-up meeting dates for April 13, April 23, April 27 and May 4, with a tentative May 7 slot if needed. Jim Broderick said he would like the next meeting to begin with town-department budgets; Russ Denver asked the Committee to reserve time for capital planning and requested that town financial policies be circulated to members before the next session.
Rich Freccero later moved to adjourn the Committee meeting; Kathy Hill seconded and the Committee voted unanimously to adjourn. Separately, Councilor Ralph Page moved to close the Special Town Council meeting, seconded by Councilor Marilyn Richards; that motion passed 5-0. The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.; the Committee's next meeting was scheduled for April 13, 2026.
