Board approves routine minutes, procurement steps and moves into executive session

The board also voted to remain with its current workers' compensation carrier after a brief presentation and unanimously rejected a bid for a walk-in freezer, opting instead to hold a new reverse auction.
The board approved changes to multiple district policies (policy codes were read into the record) and unanimously authorized staff to advertise for bids for a bus-mounted student ridership/ID monitoring system.
At the close of the public session, the board moved into executive session to consider four student matters and two personnel matters and to receive a safety update from the SRO.
Votes recorded in the public record were taken by motion, second and unanimous voice vote; the transcript records unanimous approval on these motions but individual roll-call tallies were not included in the public portion of the record.
