Select Board awards $487,365 sidewalk contract and $314,895 lighting contract for three streets

Phill Duffy presented the scope of the Union, Walnut and Prospect Streets improvement projects on April 15. The board voted to award a $487,365 contract to Antonellis Construction, Inc. of Newton for sidewalk work and a $314,895 contract to Systems Electric Services, Inc. for lighting improvements.
Selectman Matt Kobus moved both contract awards; motions were seconded by Selectman Sean Kerrigan and approved unanimously by roll call. The combined awards total $802,260 and will proceed according to contract terms and any required permitting and inspection processes.
