The Dowagiac Union School Board approved the consent agenda, which included approval of minutes, payment of bills and acceptance of an FMLA request for Reggie Fritz.
Board member Stephanie Tucker moved to approve the consent items A–C; the motion was seconded and, after a vocal objection by one member, the chair declared the motion carried.
Earlier in the meeting a district staff member covering for Stacy in the business office provided a brief finance update. The staff member said end‑of‑year purchase orders are being submitted, budget revisions are in progress and the business office has been managing cash and interest‑bearing accounts to maximize earnings. The staff member also reported a $1,400 rebate from district purchasing‑card activity this year.
No ordinances, resolutions or additional formal actions were taken during the meeting other than routine consent approval and adjournment.
