Grant County board reviews property valuation process; no appeals filed

Chair Dwight Walvatne called the Grant County Board of Appeal and Equalization to order at 4:30 p.m. on June 15, 2026, in Elbow Lake, Minnesota. Board members Troy Johnson, Bill LaValley and Ken Johnson attended, along with staff Karl Lindquist, Chad Van Santen, Corey Sovich and County Coordinator Tina Riley.
The county assessor presented and reviewed the property valuation process and Minnesota Department of Revenue sales summary sheets, covering residential, city, lakeshore, vacant land and agricultural sales. The presentation was informational and focused on the methodology and recent sales data used in setting assessed values.
No appeals were filed during the session. With business concluded, Chair Dwight Walvatne adjourned the meeting at 5:27 p.m. The meeting was conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statutes sections 274.13 and 274.14.
